Chesley Bonestell – A Brush with the Future – zoom and dvd. (Virtual)

Sunday, January 29, 2023⋅4:00 – 5:00pm.  Join the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy for Zoom event with the filmmaker and Rancho Palos Verdes resident Douglass Stewart who has uncovered the fascinating life of architect and painter Chesley Bonestell (1888-1986). Bonestell worked on the Golden Gate Bridge and the Chrysler Building.  He worked on famous movies like Citizen Kane and The War of The Worlds as a matte artist.  So why is it that few know who he is today?  This film uncovers his dazzling visions of planets in our solar system that are credited with the creation of America’s Space Program.  $30 per family includes home delivery of dvd, which participants can view in advance of this date.
