Earth Day Celebration & Film- April 20, 2019

WP Committee

Join us to celebrate Earth Day beginning at the White Point Nature Preserve at 9 am volunteering to help to beautify the Preserve with family activities including a dryad flute performance, a composting booth by Triformis, art activity, plant sale and a guided Ranger walk. Later in the day, enjoy a film screening of the film FREE SOLO at the Warner Grand Theatre. The critically acclaimed National Geographic documentary follows Alex Honnold as he becomes the first person to ever free solo climb Yosemite's 3,000' high El Capitan Wall. With no ropes or safety gear, he completed arguably the greatest feat in rock climbing history.
