 Palos Verdes Pastoral - October 27, 2019

WP Committee

Our open spaces are the inspiration for this unique dining experience. The event raises critical funds and increases awareness of the important work of the Conservancy in protecting and stewarding open space and nature. The event will help highlight the important role the community plays in protecting the beautiful and unique environment on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Space is limited and the evening sells out quickly!

Thank you for a great Earth Day Celebration & Film 2019!

WP Committee

Earth Day started at the White Point Nature Preserve with 200 volunteers helping to beautify the Preserve and families also enjoying a dryad flute performance, art activity, plant sale and a guided Ranger walk. Later in the day, guests watched FREE SOLO at the Warner Grand Theatre. The critically acclaimed National Geographic documentary following Alex Honnold as he becomes the first person to ever free solo climb Yosemite's 3,000' high El Capitan Wall. With no ropes or safety gear, he completed arguably the greatest feat in rock climbing history to an awe-inspired audience. The screening included a visit by one of our young weed grazing goats, an REI slackline and an amazing raffle with a Catalina Island Home Vacation, REI gear, dinners, event tickes and much more! Thank you to our Earth Day Sponsors, Raffle Donors and Volunteers for making Earth Day such a huge success!
