🌿 This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we honor the enduring presence, knowledge, and stewardship of the Tongva-Gabrieliño people. Coming soon to White Point Nature Preserve is a new audio storytelling experience created in partnership with the Tongva Cultural Collective.
Through Tongva-Gabrieliño voices, visitors will discover native plants through traditional names, stories, pronunciations, and perspectives that reflect generations of knowledge and an ongoing connection to ancestral lands.
We look forward to welcoming you to listen, learn, and experience the native plant demonstration garden in a new way.

🐦 Happy International Migratory Bird Day! The White-crowned Sparrow is back. Each fall, these striped-capped songbirds fly thousands of miles south from their breeding grounds in Alaska and Canada to spend the winter here in Southern California. For many of us, their arrival is a familiar seasonal marker. Keep an eye out along trail edges and shrubby areas, where they forage on the ground in small flocks.
